Brief History
The first meeting of Agape Christian Fellowship was held on July 6, 1986 with thirty members in attendance. Six weeks later the congregation moved into a building on Hwy 431 in a small shopping center.
In December of 1986, Agape followed God’s direction and obtained the present location which is a two acre tract of land with four buildings. This new location is also found on Hwy 431 in Alexandria, AL. Please see the “Contact Us” tab for more specifics or questions.
Mission Statement
Agape Christian Fellowship exists to exalt Jesus Christ in worship, to edify Christians through biblical teaching, to proclaim Christ to the lost, to demonstrate God’s agape love, and to train and equip the saints to be disciples in the kingdom of God.
Our Purpose
Agape is to be a place where the body of Christ (saints, redeemed, bornagain, saved, called out ones) meet to encourage one another as we walk in our faith in Jesus Christ. We come together to celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ with singing, clapping, lifting of hands, dancing, shouting, praising, and worship to our on and only redeemer:
Ephesians 4:12-16: We come together to prepare ourselves for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith, and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is Christ. From Him the whole body. joined together by every supporting ligamnet, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
We come together to minister to each other, love, forgive, and demonstrate the Agape love of God!
